Agri-Preneur’s Phase II

Agri-Preneur

The project's primary objective is to tackle the challenges exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, which has disproportionately affected marginalized groups in Pakistan, notably women and young individuals. Given the devastating repercussions, there's an urgent need to provide targeted assistance to these vulnerable communities. Thanks to financial backing from the Standard Chartered Bank in collaboration with the British Asian Trust, Shirakat-Partnership for Development is directing its efforts towards fostering sustainable livelihoods, specifically within the agricultural sector (Agri-Preneur), for women and youth across key regions including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Muzaffargarh, and Sheikhupura.

Through strategic interventions, the initiative aims to empower women and youth by equipping them with the necessary skills and resources to engage in Agri-Preneur value chain activities. By focusing on value addition within this sector, the project endeavors to create economic opportunities that not only address immediate financial hardships exacerbated by the pandemic but also lay the foundation for long-term resilience and prosperity. By fostering entrepreneurship and sustainable practices, it seeks to uplift communities and foster inclusive growth in the face of ongoing challenges.
